Michiel is PIDG’s Regional Business Development Lead for Eastern and Southern Africa. He has over 20 years of private sector experience in business and project development. Michiel has a track record in the renewable energy sector from origination through to financial close. Before joining PIDG, he worked as the project director for a 90MW wind energy project in Kenya. Michiel has a master’s degree from the University of Twente in The Netherlands, and he is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional.
