Hassen BEN AYED is a Principal Infrastructure Investment Officer at the African Development Bank (AfDB) with over 15 years of experience in the transport and infrastructure sectors in Africa. He is a Certified Professional in Public Private Partnerships (CP3P). Hassen has closed over USD 340 million in debt and equity transactions for various transport and infrastructure projects, including PPPs, across all regions of Africa. He has a strong background in project origination, structuring, processing, and portfolio management. Hassen also has experience in climate finance and represents the AfDB in advisory committees for infrastructure funds. Prior to joining the AfDB, he worked as a transport economist and traffic engineer, leading feasibility studies for transport projects in Africa. Hassen holds a Master of Engineering degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Investment Appraisal and Project Management.
