Tandiswa Kankqu is the inaugural Chief Director of the Public Private
Partnership Unit at the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury, with 11 years’ Experience of PPP projects, coupled with leadership skills. Tandiswa ensures the development of PPP frameworks, strategies, policies, standards, guidelines and protocols for institutional PPP projects in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal based on the standards of PPP manual and standardized PPP provisions, adapted to each sector (e.g. hospital, fleet, schools, eco-tourism etc.).
Tandiswa Kankqu is a certified Public Private Partnership specialist endorsed by the institute for Public Private Partnership Washington DC in collaboration with Water, Engineering and Development Centre Loughborough University Leicestershire, United Kingdom.
One of the highlights in her career includes being appointed as the project officer/manager for the KZN Government Precinct and Legislature complex (a multi-billion project) that is currently in progress, both these projects
entail the build, design, and finance, operate and maintain.
