Joel Barnor

Joel Barnor is the lead manager in the Infrastructure Advisory Practice at Genesis Analytics. His expertise lies in project finance, transaction advisory, PPP policy development and assessment of project funding options. He also has experience in infrastructure fund design and private sector development. He joined Genesis in 2009.
Joel has worked on multiple public and private sector infrastructure and private sector development projects in his time at Genesis. Joel has conducted a number of financial due diligence of large infrastructure and PPP projects, across the real estate, water and energy sectors. His financial due diligence experience cuts across various markets in Africa, including Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Joel holds a master’s in the Political Economy of Development from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. He also has a master’s in Financial Markets from Rhodes University. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Wits Business School in South Africa.
