AFRICAPPP 2018 ONCE AGAIN FOSTERS DEBATES TO ACCELERATE PPP PROJECTS IN AFRICA

Cape Town31st October 2018 – The 10th Africa Public Private Partnership Conference and Showcase, Africa PPP, has successfully ended with the announcement of the new dates for the 11th Africa Public Private Partnership Conference & Showcase, that will be taking place from 22 – 24 October 2019 in Cape Town, yet again.

The pre-conference CPD certified training have been addressed by Norma Sephuma, PPP Consultant, Sheila Galloway, Group Chief Executive Officer, Utho Capital, Kantha Rattay, Legal Consultant, KR Consulting and Mari Bruwer, Founder, MCA Consulting. They shared their expertise for Bankable PPPs development.

The 2 day conference gathered 131 high-level delegates from the PPP sector and 47 keynote speakers from 21 countries, with representatives from 7+ PPP units, project developers, investment players and association representatives on the speaker panels.

The conference, sponsored by Nedbank, Almar Water Solutions, KPDC, Allen & Overy, and supported by NEPAD, was officially opened by the Executive Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille and Tim Harris, CEO of Wesgro, gave a keynote address on the 2nd day of the event.

Discussions were lively, thought-provoking and painted a realistic picture of the role of PPP’s in Africa, the current challenges of African PPP and most of all the key opportunities for developing energy, water and transport projects through the PPP process.
