Sibusiso Zungu is a banking and finance counsel based in our Johannesburg office. He is a PPP specialist with experience advising public entities and public private partnership transactions in Africa. He has considerable experience in all aspects of project finance and has been advising clients on project finance since 2003, with a particular focus on energy, resources and infrastructure projects. He advises sponsors, project companies and lenders in relation to the development and financing of a number of projects in Africa. He has a wealth of experience in project development including structuring bankable projects, project implementation including negotiating commercially acceptable off-take arrangements and on project operation.
Sibusiso has been recognised on the 2016 IFLR1000 Rankings. He advised Absa Bank Limited on the financing of Leqhobong Diamond Mine which won the Best natural resources deal in Africa – EMEA Finance’s Project Finance Awards 2014.
Sibusiso has an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a certificate in Banking and Financial Markets from Wits University.
